13. If at the end of the application period, in the opinion of Murphy-Goode, no suitable candidates have applied, the winery is not obligated to hire anyone.

Of course this applies after having made the TOP 50.  Seems many were hung up on thinking success will be based upon video views or how many friends clicked your clip.  Well, unless all those ‘friends’ are buying a bottle or case of Murphy Goode as well (not likely) then it doesn’t mean a whole lot at this point I’m betting.  Here are the facts Jack straight from the Goode book;

2. Must meet the skills and qualifications of the job.

Number 13 is the kicker.  Let’s hope of course there is a champion among us who will change the way wine is marketed online forever!  Or at least for 6 months. :)

Cheers!

I’m In, However Down

Ok folks. It’s official. I’ve made the top 50, rather TAP FIDDY in the race for “A Really Goode Job“. Just as the official notice states, from almost 2000 applicants, myself and another 49 peeps have somehow shined our way through.

Unfortunately for me I’m not able to rejoice as I should and most certainly normally would, as it’s also more than official that someone that has meant a lot to me has passed away today and I can’t help but be affected by his passing. Yes, I speak of the late, great Michael Jackson. I know my relationship with him is akin to that which hundreds (not thousands or millions) of others have experienced with the young 50 year old over the many years of being what we all, as artists, consider as a mutual colleague; not just as being record label mates in the past. I, as many others have felt, had an artistic connection with the reclusive genius.

I’ll leave it there as essentially this posting is meant to acknowledge my accomplishment of getting this far in the Murphy Goode Winery campaign. I’m proud of me and deep down I feel good about MG’s choice of including me in all of this and frankly (as I stated to them) I believe I’m the person for this job. Period. I just wish I could truly experience the joy I would normally rejoice in. I’d crack a bottle of whatever and bask in the glory of this first hurdle. I wish I could. Perhaps in the next days, I’m quite sure. Give me a moment.

The proof in the pudding.

The proof in the pudding.

I am absolutely thankful, humbled and dumbfounded all at once. If you haven’t already and if the spirit moves you, lend me your vote please.
Cheers!
